The 8th International Traveling Film Festival on Water or the ‘Voices from the Waters’ is calling for entries. There is no entry fee, last date for submissions is May 30th, 2013.
Shorts, documentaries, animation and feature films made on any of the following topics are invited: water scarcity, dams and the displaced, water harvesting/conservation, water struggles/conflicts, floods and droughts, global warming and climate change, impact of deforestation on water bodies, water, sanitation and health, river pollution, the holistic revival of water bodies, water and life.
Films entered in previous editions are not eligible. Applicants will bear the costs of sending the entries to the festival. A DVD of the film with English subtitles, duly signed and filled entry form, three high resolution stills of the film and a high resolution picture of the director should be submitted. Post a premiere in Bangalore, the films will be screened in educational institutions, non -governmental organizations, small towns and villages across India followed by discussions.
The festival, mainly organized by the Bangalore Film Society, promotes films that support awareness on water and environmental issues. The 2013 edition will focus on the availability of water, it’s scarcity and climate change in India.
