Mukta Arts, one of India’s leading Entertainment companies celebrates its 36th anniversary today. It has become a tradition for Subhash Ghai, leading film director and producer as well as the chairman of Mukta Arts to announce his upcoming films on this auspicious day.
Following the tradition the company has announced three of their upcoming projects. The first film will be ‘Ishq De Maare’ which will again see the Deol family together i.e. Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and will be directed by Neeraj Pathak and written by Subhash Ghai. ‘Ishq De Maare’ is a tale of a bonded family and the love that exists between the father and two sons.
‘Sarabjit’ will be the second film which will be a biopic. It will be the heroic struggle of a convict who is imprisoned across the border of Pakistan for 22 years. It will be directed by Ishwar Singh Muchhal and is written by Rajesh Beri. The last film on the list is ‘Idiot Nalayak Useless’ which will be directed by Ken Ghosh and written by Sumit Roy. It is the story of the current generation which is never satisfied.
Speaking on this occasion, Subhash Ghai said, “It’s a great feeling to know that my company Mukta Arts is announcing 3 wonderful and entertaining films on its 36th anniversary and is also marching ahead with many more great scripts it has been building up in the last 4 years. The company has also widened its wings of Whistling Woods International media schools across various countries like UK and Nigeria. We are also creating a pool of in-house talent, production and managing the business of entertainment. Passing through the journey of highs and lows, it’s always the determination which works for the company Mukta Arts is committed to shine as glorious as its past.”
Mukta Arts seems to present the audience with a variety of genres. ‘Ishq De Maare’ will be a social drama, ‘Sarabjit’ will be a biopic and the third movie ‘Idiot Nalayak Useless’ will be a fun film. Ghai said,” “We have a healthy story bank, so we thought we should get into productions in a bigger way. So on the anniversary, we are announcing the films.”

Talking about his ‘Ishq De Maare’ Ghai said, “Ishq De Maare is with the Deols. It’s a social family drama. It’s a beautiful film, beautiful script… more of Hrishikesh Mukherjee style.” As for ‘Sarabjit’ he said,” I was so touched by the subject that I said I want to make it. People have accepted (athlete) Milkha Singh, so I think people are now liking biopic, so we contacted Sarabjit’s sister for the film. Scripting work is on and within 30 days we will finalize everything.”
